On May 3, China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM) and Japanese CWC Corporation signed the agreement on a 50 Mw PV power plant project in Japan. Peng Shou, Chairman and President of CNBM, and Wang Junyan, CWC Chairman, signed on the contract on behalf of the two respective parties.

At present, all nuclear power stations in Japan have been shut down. In the approaching summer peak, Japan will face a power supply gap of 20%, so the government will put forward a series of subsidy policies to encourage renewable energy investment so as to balance the power shortage. For example, the solar energy power generation system will enjoy electricity price subsidy of 42 yen before tax per kWh during the 20-year acquisition cycle. Large-scale photovoltaic power stations will embrace a golden development opportunity in Japan. CNBM will be responsible for all work involved, such as the entire project design, procurement, construction, commissioning and synchronization.
