On September 5, the 18^thterm of China Composites Expo (CCE2012) jointly held by China Composites Group Co., Ltd., China Composites Industry Association and the Chinese Ceramic Society FRP Branch was inaugurated in Shang World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, which would be continued for 3 days.

As the top expo with the largest scale, the highest internationalized degree and most influence in China's composites field, CCE has become an athletics exhibition for new equipments, new products and new technologies in global composites circle and upstream and downstream industry; a flagship exhibition for globalized cooperation of composites and related fields; and an important platform leading development of composites industry. This term of expo indicated the development direction of composites industry: the application would be more and more intelligent and humanized, the appearance would be simpler and simpler, the manufacturing would be more and more refine, and the social responsibility would be more and more environmental and energy conservation.

This term of expo has an exhibition area of 33,000 square meters, equal to that of last term. The participating manufacturers from such countries and regions as America, Britain, Canada, German, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Singapore, Macedonia, Switzerland, Japan, Korea and India etc. showed the advanced equipments, the latest process and technology, and new raw and auxiliary materials related to composites. A great many excellent products and elites gathered here, with unlimited business opportunities.

In the face of depression of whole industry and market trend in 2012, the intelligence and innovation became a power point for China's composites and related industry from "Made in China" to "Created in China".

The high-end products gathered here and competed with each other. The domestic "big three" of glass fiber kept pace with each other and came on stage one after another. The E6-CR boron-free and fluoride-free glass fiber with environmental protection feature and high performance launched by Jushi Group in this year; wind energy market-based S-1HM high-performance rough yarn cooperatively produced by Taishan Glass Fiber Co., Ltd. and American AGY Company; LFRT high-performance thermoplastic long fiber independently researched and developed by Chongqing International, approved by mainstream manufacturers at home and aboard, and used in batches; shocking news released by Zhongfu Shenying at exhibition site; the dry-spraying wet spinning SYT45 carbon fiber, which is equal to TORAY T700 and has realized large-scale production; "three-dimensional distance woven fabrics" with proprietary intellectual property rights, which filled in the international blank by Changzhou Bolong Three Dimensional Composites Co., Ltd.; skeleton-type antenna housing used in satellite and space shuttle produced by Shanghai FRP Research Institute Co., Ltd., with original structure…so many high-end exquisite products represented the advanced level of composites industry in the 21^stcentury.

The intelligent equipments helped upgrading of industrial transformation. The intelligent robot, automatic heat treatment, online molding equipments appeared continuously and brightened each other. We can see that Fujian Haiyuan Automatic Equipments Co., Ltd. has realized domestication of core device for complete set of equipments for Long Fiber reinforced Thermoplastics－Direct processing－In Line Compounding (LFT-D-ILC) under mixing assembly, and that Jizhou Yifeng Spray Coating Machine Factory has produced microcomputer-controlled composites bend winding machine, which can completely replace imported one and realize automatic winding of bend of FRP.
