On April 23, Saint-Gobain Gypsum Building Materials Co., Ltd. (Huludao) was officially opened, marking the official operation of the paper-surface gypsum board production line designed and installed by China New Building Materials Industry Hangzhou Design & Research Institute (CNHDI) for Saint-Gobain (Huludao).

Saint-Gobain (Huludao) gypsum board production line is the first comprehensive cooperation project between CNHDI and the international building materials giant---Saint-Gobain. In this project, CNHDI is responsible for engineering design, equipment manufacture and installation. Using natural gas as fuel, this project processes raw materials with a process called two-step slow calcination and gypsum board drying with natural gas heating technology. These processes are in line with the national low-carbon industrial policy for environmental protection and energy saving. In April 2012, CNHDI technicians stationed on-site and overcame various unfavorable factors to work collaboratively with on-site constructors. With great efforts, they solved numerous technical problems and successfully completed planned tasks while strictly meet Saint-Gobain Group's high-standard requirements for safe production. In January 2013, the first group of qualified gypsum boards comes into the market.

After the opening ceremony, Lin Churong and Shi Cunyou, President and Vice President of CNHDI came to the project site to check functioning of the production line and provided guidance for follow-up services.
