CTIEC-contracted cement clinker project in Kazakhstan enters installation stage

On December 19, in the festive sound of firecrackers, the launch ceremony of the installation works of Italcementi's 3200t/d clinker production line project in Shymkent, Kazakhstan contracted by China Triumph International Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CTIEC) was held. As a significant milestone of the project, the base of the first column of the kiln tail preheater framework was lifted in place stably, marking the official beginning of the installation works of the CTIEC-contracted project for which Xinjiang Triumph Building Materials Designing Institute (Xinjiang Triumph) and Beijing Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. (Beijing Triumph) provided technologies and all equipment.

Italcementi's project manager Milesi and CTIEC's project manager Liu Jiarong presided over the launch ceremony. In the address, Milesi acclaimed and appreciated the periodic results achieved by CTIEC's all project participants through unremitting efforts, expecting them to work harder to achieve the goal of project ignition. Present at the ceremony were the project department's key managers and heads of the four subcontractors.

Owned by Italcementi, contracted by CTIEC, technically supported by Xinjiang Triumph and Beijing Triumph, the 3200t/d clinker production line project in Shymkent, Kazakhstan is a key project in Kazakhstan's "2020 Productivity Improvement Program". The owner recruited a local engineering consultation company for construction assistance. Since the project was initiated this June, with the strong support of CNBM and the cooperation of the project department's management team, Kazakhstan Branch and subcontractors, all the staff of the project department have fully carried forward the tough teamwork spirit and continuously overcome problems such as labor visa application, HSE management, customs clearance for equipment, narrow construction field and excessive dependence on the existing production line, controlled the project progress with the P6 system, increased local subcontracting efficiency by all means, and actively organized local machines and tools for removal of old underground concrete five times more than the contract-estimated volume, so as to achieve periodic results as scheduled and provide strong guarantee for the fulfillment of the contract target.
