CTIEC signs letter of intent with Asahi China on energy conservation & environmental protection cooperation

The 8th China-Japan Forum on Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection took place in Beijing from December 27 to 28, 2014. At the project signing ceremony, China Triumph International Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CTIEC) and Asahi (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (Asahi China) signed a letter of intent on energy conservation and environmental protection in China's glass industry, reaching the intent of cooperation on fields such as energy conservation diagnosis, support for implementation of energy conservation measures, energy management, advanced melting technologies, and technologies of desulfurization, denitration and de-dusting. Mao Lingwen, vice president of CTIEC and Takashi Shimbo, chief representative of Asahi China signed on behalf of respective sides.
The forum was organized by China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Ministry of Commerce (MOC), and Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Japan-China Economic Association. Among over 500 attendees were government officials from China's government departments such as NDRC and MOC, relevant Japanese government officials, as well as businessmen, experts and scholars from Chinaand Japan. Relevant entities from the two sides signed 41 cooperative projects, covering project demonstration, technology popularization and policy study in fields such as energy conservation, environmental protection, new energy and cyclic economy.
Inaugurated in Tokyo in 2006, the forum has been held seven times so as to become a major platform for China-Japan cooperation as well as a China-Japan dialogue mechanism in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection.
